Court Decides Sanchez-Llamas and Bustillo

The Supreme Court just renderened its decision in the companion cases of Sanchez-Llamas v. Oregon and Bustillo v. Johnson. The decision can be accessed here. The decision was 6-3 with Chief Justice Roberts writing the opinion and Justices Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, and Alito joining. Justice Ginsburg filed an opinion concurring in the judgment. Justice Breyer wrote a dissenting opinion in which Justices Souter and Stevens joined and in which Justice Ginsubrg joined with respect to Part II.
