Opinio Juris Reception at the ASIL Annual Meeting

Opinio Juris Reception at the ASIL Annual Meeting

For those of you who will be at the Annual Meeting of the American Society of International Law (or just in DC), Opinio Juris and the ASIL will sponsor a reception on Thursday evening, March 30th, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Longworth Room of the Fairmont Hotel, 2401 M Street, NW (the location of the Annual Meeting).

Besides wine and cheese, we will also have an informal discussion on international law and blogging. We expect that bloggers from other law blogs will be joining us as well. We hope this will be a chance for many of us who know each other via the Internet to actually get together in person. Please note that you do not need to be registered for the Annual Meeting in order to attend the reception.

We hope to see you there.

ICJ said they would hold secrecy until Tuesday because that’s when witness testimony will end. Issue wasn’t absolute secrecy of the testimony, just the need to avoid contaminating the testimony of remaining witnesses.

How many people are you expecting? I hope that some people who are there and who don’t yet blog will come along. The free wine should be sufficient incentive for Irish and British attendees at least…
