WOLAS Conference Series – Rights in the AI Race: Worldwide Lawyers Association (WOLAS) is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of the WOLAS Conference Series (WCS), entitled “Rights in the AI  Race,” to be held on 4 and 5 December 2026 at the Istanbul University  Faculty of Law in Istanbul, Türkiye. WCS 2026 seeks to foster critical dialogue on AI governance, international law, regulation, accountability, and the future of protecting human dignity in an era of rapid technological transformation.

WCS 2026 invites scholars and experts from germane fields of law, social sciences and technology to ponder and converse over the potential legal implications of the AI race for “human” rights. See here for the call for papers and to submit your abstracts by 12 October 2026.

Symposium – The Law of Neutrality and the Prohibition of Aggression: Framing an Old Debate in the Light of Recent State Practice: On 18 September 2026, from 3 pm to 5 pm (CET), Bocconi University will host in hybrid format the seminar ‘The Law of Neutrality and the Prohibition of Aggression: Framing an Old Debate in the Light of Recent State Practice’. The speakers will be Evelyne Schmid (University of Lusanne), Alessandra Gianelli (Sapienza University, Rome), Alexander Wentker (Max Planck Institute).
