Calls for Papers

National Law School of India Review: The National Law School of India Review (NLSIR) is the flagship student-edited law review of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. It is now in its 36th year and the oldest such law review in the Indian subcontinent. Volume 36(1) is our general issue for this academic year and is not restricted to any particular legal area/theme. The deadline for submissions for Volume 36(1) is 28th February, 2024. On the other hand, NLSIR Online, the companion blog, accepts submissions on a rolling basis and mirrors the generalist mandate of the print journal. For more information, click here.

Special Issue of Narratives, Frontier Technologies & the Law for the Law, Technology and Humans Journal: For this Special Journal Issue for ‘Law, Technology and Humans’, we seek high-quality scholarly perspectives and theoretical investigations into the relationship or correlation between Narratives, Frontier Technologies, and the Law. Our objective is to provide valuable insights for international legal scholars to analyse and conceptualise the evolution of technology law. Submission and acceptance of proposals shall be on a rolling basis with no new proposals considered after 28 February 2024.

Full papers for accepted proposals are to be delivered by 31 July 2024 to allow for a pre-read conference. The conference will likely be held in a hybrid format at Maastricht University, Faculty of Law, in Sept/Oct 2024. The hybrid format will enable online participation. Workshop on ‘Socio-economic rights and non-discrimination at the intersection of the market, the border, and the welfare state’: Abstract submissions for the workshop are due by 22 January 2024 for a workshop on 27-28 May 2024 in Lund, Sweden. Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law Annual Conference 2024: Call for Papers: Melbourne Law School, Wednesday 3 July – Friday 5 July 2024. Submission deadline: 12 February 2024. The ANZSIL Conference Organising Committee invites paper and panel proposals for the 31st ANZSIL Annual Conference, to be co-hosted by the Institute for International Law and the Humanities, at Melbourne Law School, 3-5 July 2024. The Conference, titled‘International Law: Crisis, Conflict and Cooperation’, will consider the impact of periods of crises on the development of international law and institutions, including questions as to whether the focus on crises has led to conflicts, or renewed cooperation, within the discipline. The Organising Committee invites paper submissions and panel proposals in any area of public and private international law relevant to the Conference theme. In the tradition of ANZSIL Conferences, the Organising Committee also invites proposals on international law topics not connected to the conference theme. Further information about the conference and submission process is available here.

American Branch of the International Law Association Chief Operating Officer: The American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA) invites applications for the recently-created position of COO. This is a part-time remote position that requires about 60-75 hours per month (more in October for International Law Weekend) and offers a lot of flexibility and exciting experience at a 101-year old U.S.-based international law NGO, famous for organizing the annual International Law Weekend conference in New York. The compensation is in the range of $32 per hour (approximately $25k per year). If interested, please submit a cover letter, CV, and list of three references using the upload link on our website.
