13 May Welcome to OJ, Angela Mudukuti!
I am delighted to announce that Angela is the newest permanent member of Opinio Juris! We have thoroughly enjoyed her blogging this past month and look forward to hearing much more from her in the future.
As a reminder, Angela is a Zimbabwean international lawyer who currently works for the Wayamo Foundation. She focuses on enhancing the domestic capacity of African prosecutors and investigators to prosecute core international crimes. She previously worked for the Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC) in South Africa, where she was involved with precedent-setting cases before the Constitutional Court and helped take the South African government to court for failing to arrest Bashir. Prior to joining SALC, Angela worked for the Immediate Office of the Prosecutor at the ICC and under the supervision of the late Prof. Cherif Bassiouni at the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights in Italy. She has written extensively on international criminal law and has been featured in the Financial Times, The Guardian, the BBC, Reuters and Al Jazeera.
You can find Angela’s guest posts here and here and here. We will add her bio to the “Contributors” page as soon as we figure out how to do so.
Welcome to Opinio Juris, Angela! We hope ours will be a long and fruitful collaboration.
