For those of you who don’t read Balkinization — and you should! — Brian Tamanaha has a wonderful post on the Wizard of Oz, which, it turns out, is actually a political allegory about the debate over gold and silver. Who knew?
I can’t get to any blogspot websites here at work, but (as a history teacher) this hypothesis is something that has been relatively debunked – although it is a useful teaching item.
