Today will be Peter Spiro’s final day guest-blogging. On behalf of all of us, I want to thank him for his stint — which was, by any account, a smashing success. We wish him well in his new position at Temple!

You may have chosen a bad time. Today is the hottest day of the year; tomorrow much the same; the rest of August won’t be much better.

Peter, I have greatly enjoyed reading your guest blogs here. I am always slow to find out academic news, so congratulations on your new appointment and now that we are sort of close by train, I hope to get a chance to see you more often. Best of luck with the move to you and your family. Ken
