
Bianca Isabella Ortiz is a Judicial Fellow at the International Court of Justice. She holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) conferred jointly by the Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva. She also earned a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics degree, both from the University of the Philippines.
Prior to her role at the International Court of Justice, Bianca worked as a Legal Assistant to a member of the United Nations International Law Commission, as a Staff Lawyer at Volterra Fietta, and as an intern at the World Trade Organization’s Legal Affairs Division. In the Philippines, she practiced as an Associate in SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, and worked as a researcher in government, academia, and NGOs.
Bianca’s research interests include international dispute settlement, international organizations law, international courts and tribunals, international environmental law, and international economic law.
