Call for abstracts: Human Rights Accountability of Non-Universally Recognised States and State-Like Entities: The Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law (UCALL) is pleased to invite scholars and practitioners to submit abstracts for the upcoming workshop on ‘Human Rights Accountability of Non-Universally Recognised States and State-Like Entities’. The workshop aims at clarifying the human rights obligations and responsibility rules applicable to State-like entities and non-universally recognized States, as well as the role that international institutions play or should play to address human rights violations committed by these actors. Authors can submit their abstract by 15 December 2023.
Journal on the Use of Force and International Law: The Journal on the Use of Force and International Law (JUFIL) is currently accepting submissions for Volume 11(1) on issues related to the law governing the use of force (jus ad bellum). For more information, click here.

Common Interests and Common Spaces: Institutional Approaches to Dispute Settlement: On Wednesday 13 December 2023, the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University will host a workshop on Common Interests and Common Spaces: Institutional Approaches to Dispute Settlement. This event kicks off a new series of events organised by the Leiden Forum on the Architecture of International Justice, and features a keynote from Professor Malgosia Fitzmaurice (Queen Mary University London). Collective Punishment, Genocide and the Struggle for Justice in Palestine: The Maynooth University Research Centre in International Justice and the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute are organising an expert online panel entitled Collective Punishment, Genocide and the Struggle for Justice in Palestine. This event will take place 5-7pm GMT on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
