Call for Papers
- The Silk Road Institute for International and Comparative Law, Xi’an Jiaotong Unviersity, is pleased to announce a call for papers for the international conference on “Multilateral Reform of Investor-State Dispute Resolution: A Dialogue between Different Approaches”, taking place on 15-16 September 2019 in Xi’an, P. R. China. This conference aims to bring together leading scholars and practitioners in ISDS reform sharing their latest thoughts on and their best practices in ISDS reform. Madam Meg Kinnear (Secretary General of ICSID) and Dr. Alejandro Carballo Leyda (General Counsel of Energy Charter Secretariat) have already confirmed their attendance. Paper proposals around 800 words and a CV (including your affiliation, main publications and contact information) should be sent by email to sriicl [at] mail [dot] xjtu [dot] edu [dot] cn (and copied to Dr Peng Wang: wangpeng6165 [at] 126 [dot] com) by 20 June 2019. Successful applicants will be informed by email before 30 June 2019. In this conference, there will be poster session for young scholars and Ph.D. students. We strongly welcome the submission from young scholars and students. All submissions will be subject to the same selection standards of originality and relevance to the theme of the conference. - The International Nuremberg Principles Academy (Nuremberg Academy) is seeking individuals on an ongoing basis for 3-month internships to support the individual areas of event organization, press, and research. The Nuremberg Academy is a foundation established to promote international criminal law and is based at the site of the Nuremberg Trials, the birthplace of modern international criminal law. The Academy makes it a special priority to work with countries and societies that face challenges in international criminal law. Founders of the foundation are the German Foreign Office, the Free State of Bavaria, and the City of Nuremberg. The Academy is primarily seeking interns who are still pursuing a course of training/working towards their degree.
