New additions to the UN Audiovisual Library of International Law (AVL): The Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs recently added the following materials to the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law: two lectures in English and French on “The Rights of the Suspect and Accused under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court”, by Mr. Xavier-Jean Keïta, Former Principal Counsel for the Office of Public Counsel for the Defense at the International Criminal Court; and an Interview in English with Mr. Marcin Czepelak, Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, by Ms. Yiwei Lu, on “The Permanent Court of Arbitration’s Contribution to International Law”.
The Audiovisual Library of International Law is also available as an audio podcast on Apple and SoundCloud.
Calls for Papers
Mass Atrocities, Environmental Degradation, and Communities’ Rights: The University of Dundee Just Transition Hub, University of Stirling, and The Congress of Nations and States invites proposals for the upcoming conference/assembly in May 2026 titled, “Mass Atrocities, Environmental Degradation, and Communities’ Rights”. The event will gather indigenous and minority communities, scholars, artists, and activists to explore the intersection of climate justice, human rights, and systemic harm. The US and International Law in Changing Times: The SLS International Law section and Solon Solomon (BUL), together with Saeed Bagheri (University of Reading), are organising on 5-6 November 2025 in central London and at BUL the two-day international conference ‘The U.S. and International Law in changing times’. Jose Alvarez, Oona Hathaway, and Gerry Simpson will deliver the main speeches. With the current, potential participants are invited to submit abstracts for the Conference panels, which are built around the themes of geopolitics, international security, trade issues, human rights, international organisations, science, and technology. NLIU Law Review: The NLIU Law Review is the flagship journal of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. It is a double blind peer-reviewed academic law journal, published biannually by the students of the University. NLIU Law Review is now accepting submissions of manuscripts for publication in Volume XV Issue I of the Journal. The NLIU Law Review does not restrict itself to any particular area of law and welcomes contributions from all branches of law, as long as the work is relevant, up to date and original. Manuscripts on any topic of contemporary legal relevance in the form of: Articles (4,000-10,000 words), Case Notes (2,000-5,000 words), Legislative Comments (1,000-3,000 words) or Book Reviews (1,000-3,000 words).
All the submissions are to be made only through the google form available here on or before 23:59 hours on 7 August 2025. Authors are requested to strictly adhere to the Submission Guidelines. In case of any query related to the NLIU Law Review, please reach out to us at lawreview@nliu.ac.in.
