Hace poco me tope con un podcast llamado “Hablemos de Derecho Internacional“, conducido por Edgardo Sobenes, ex miembro del equipo legal de Nicaragua ante la CIJ. El podcast está repleto de excelentes entrevistas a algunos de los más renombrados publicistas de Hispanoamérica.

Personalmente recomiendo la entrevista al Dr. Juan José Ruda, Profesor Principal en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú y miembro de la Comisión de Derecho Internacional. En este episodio, el Prof. Ruda nos presenta 200 años de historia latinoamericana y las contribuciones al Derecho Internacional de los publicistas y diplomáticos de la región. Si, como yo, disfrutan de la historia del Derecho Internacional y de América Latina, este episodio es para ustedes.

Otro excelente episodio es la entrevista al renombrado Prof. Antonio Remiro Brotons, que nos explica la paradoja de que la Corte Internacional de Justicia sea un foro donde no se habla español, cuando son los países de América Latina los que más la usan.

En resumen, ¡una calurosa (aunque algo tardía) bienvenida a la blogósfera a “Hablemos de Derecho Internacional”!

I wanted to call readers’ attention to a podcast I recently came accross called “Hablemos de Derecho Internacional“. It is hosted by Edgardo Sobenes, former member of Nicaragua’s legal team in its numerous ICJ cases, and it is full of fantastic interviews to some of the most respected Hispanic publicists.

I personally recommend Edgardo’s interview with Juan José Ruda, Principal Professor at Peru’s Pontifical Catholic University and member of the International Law Commission. In this episode, Prof. Ruda walks us through 200 years of Latin American history and the specific contributions of Latin America scholars and diplomats have made to general international law. If, like me, you enjoy history of international law and Latin America, this episode is for you.

Another noteworthy episode is the interview with renowned Spanish publicist, Prof. Antonio Remiro Brotons, where he touches upon the paradox of Latin American states being one of the main users of the ICJ when Spanish is not an official language at the Court.
