No Right to Same-Sex Marriage in France

My French is pretty rusty, but I think that is the upshot of this decision from the Conseil Constitutionnel, France’s highest body for reviewing questions under the French Constitution.  As Maggie Gallagher, a leading opponent of same-sex marriage in the U.S. notes, this decision (along with a similar decision by the European Court of Human Rights) could be important in influencing the vote of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy (a.k.a. the Swing Vote Justice) when the issue reaches the U.S. Supreme Court.
