If anyone out there still believes that Iraq “reconstruction” is about something other than enriching the Republican party’s corporate cronies, read this post, which explains how the White House and the Republican majority are making sure that new funds cannot be audited by the Special Inspector General for Iraqi Reconstruction, who had committed the most mortal of all sins in the eyes of this administration — actually doing his job.

I agree with Patrick — waste and fraud in the reconstruction of Iraq should be a bi-partisan issue. But insofar as it’s not, I think it’s inaccurate to describe the blog as “left wing.” Julian and Roger might disagree! The reason I enjoy blogging here so much is that my (admittedly) left-wing voice is only one of many; I learn far more from those who disagree with me than from those who do.
