Call for papers and panels – International Law and the Regulation of
Resort to Force: Exhaustion, Destruction, Rebirth? (14-15 September
2023, Olomouc, Czech Republic):
The Centre for International Humanitarian and Operational Law at the Faculty of Law of Palacký University Olomouc, in collaboration with the Institute for International Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz, are accepting papers and panel proposals for a conference to take place on 14 – 15 September 2023 in Olomouc, the Czech Republic. The conference, titled ‘International Law and the Regulation of Resort to Force: Exhaustion, Destruction, Rebirth?’ will examine the insurmountable challenges facing the contemporary international legal order pertaining to the use of force. Submissions, broadly conceived within the thematic area, are welcomed. Confirmed speakers, details of the conference and submission of papers, panels and posters are available here.

Intervention in Proceedings Before International Courts and Tribunals: 24 January 2023, 17:00-19:00 GMT, SOAS University of London. Intervention in proceedings before international courts and tribunals seems to be increasingly common. An expert panel of practitioners and academics – with vast practical experience of representing parties at various international courts and tribunals – will provide a masterclass on the pitfalls and potential of third-party interventions. An invitation to this Masterclass is warmly extended to all International Law Masters students in London.
